"Works Well, Wish Waist Wasn't So Stiff" 2009-10-19
By M. Becton (Washington, dc United States)
These diaper covers don't leak, are sturdy and easy to use. I wish the front was stretchy somehow. Our daughter has reflux (she started wearing this size around 8 lbs) and pressure on her tummy makes it worse. She usually wears onesies or footed sleepers so I leave the waist a little loose and the crotch of the onsies/sleepers help hold the diaper in place. We've had no accidents, but wall of velcro across the front is quite large for the size of the cover (x-small) and as a result is very stiff.

 "No Mushy Tushy Here!!" 2009-10-19

My husband and I LOVE the Thirstie Diaper covers we bought for our daughter. They are durable, easy to use and come in a wonderful variety of colors! They need to be washed about once a week (barring any diaper "overflow") - which seems to be better than the continual washings the AIOs tend to require. The only hang up we had with them is that at first we didn't think to make sure that the diaper was fully tucked into the leg holes but that is more user error than anything else. We are ordering the next size and are looking forward to another 3 months of no hassle cloth diapering!

 "Loved the Thirsties" 2009-10-17
By Momma in Ohio (Lima, OH)
I was skeptical about buying this, but after using it for over a month now I can see why friends raved about it. I use prefolds. My only suggestion is that you make sure that the inner gasset is covering all of the prefold. You shouldn't have any problems!

"Love this cover. So comfortable, great fit!" 2009-10-12
By Rae Lee (Calabasas, Ca)
I haven't tried all the covers on the market, in fact this Thirsties is only the second brand I've tried beause I have no desire to buy any different ones since the Thirsties are working well for us. I tried the white "Proraps" that were sold by the cloth diaper delivery service- they are ok, but I was looking for something better. I saw the great reviews and decided to give Thirsties a try. They seem to hold more of the diaper than the other cover I tried. Also, the elastic waist band seems not do dig into my baby's skin so much, like the other one did. I would reccomend these. Also, I think they fit for a longer time so you don't have to replace them as frequently.

"Thirsties are just as good as bumkins" 2009-09-24
By Ashley G. Bawol (Tappahannock, VA)
I've used cloth and disposable diapers, and I'd rate leakage as the same. When choosing a diaper cover, I got Thirsties myself and was given Bumkins at my shower. They offer the same leak protection, and the Bumkins have this mesh panel at the back to help you check for leaks that only seems to encourage leaks to happen. Just be careful to follow the washing instructions by not putting them in the dryer, and they'll last you till the next size up!
